Hi, I'm Claudia — and welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I was born and raised in Germany to Italian parents, so food, family, and tradition have always been at the center of my life. Some of my earliest memories are in the kitchen, learning recipes that had been passed down through generations. That blend of cultures continues to shape how I cook and how I experience the world.
My love of cooking came from my father. He taught me that a great meal isn't really about the recipe — it's patience, the right tomato, and feeding the people you love. And as much as I loved where I grew up, Italy was always where I belonged. I've carried an Italian passport my whole life, and the kitchen has always been the place that feels most like home.
Life has taken me on quite a journey since then. After marrying my husband, who served in the U.S. Army and is now retired, I moved to the United States and now call the greater NYC area home — with our two teenagers, Marco and Giada, usually orbiting the stove asking when dinner is ready. Through the moves and different chapters, I've learned how to create a sense of home wherever I am — through cooking, organizing, and making everyday spaces feel warm, functional, and inviting.
Most summers, you'll find us back at our family home in Calabria — back to the beach, the lemon trees, and a slower pace of life. It's where my Italian half breathes deepest, and where I gather inspiration for what comes next.
Claudia's Cucina started as a way to share my love for cooking, but it has grown into something more. It's a space where I share recipes inspired by my Italian roots, along with pieces of my life beyond the kitchen — travel, home organization, and the small details that make everyday life feel more put together and enjoyable.
I'm not about perfection here — I'm about real life. Finding balance, trying new things, and creating a lifestyle that feels both meaningful and manageable. Whether it's a simple meal, a well-organized space, or a new place explored, I believe it's the little things that make life special.
